When do pre-med girls find time to look presentable before coming to class?

My Stats class has at least 10 premed women who look absolutely ravishing at 8 AM 😱

Of course, it helps to stay awake, as you tend to be more conscientious about your actions in front of such alpha females.

If I was going to class at 8AM in undergrad I'd probably be in pajama pants, a v-neck shirt, and sneakers, and my hair would be in a low ponytail and I MAY have had time to slap on some lip gloss and mascara while I waited in line at the drive-thru for my coffee.

yeah. i feel like the only girls that got dolled up for class in undergrad were freshmen who didn't know any better or a senior who had an internship later in the day.

I went to a school where getting dressed up for class was pretty common. But then again, 8 am classes were rare after freshman year. I feel like in general, most schools in the South or schools known to be moneyed will have girls that dress up; I just feel like they usually aren't pre-med girls 😛

Yeah, 8 am isn't all that bad. I had a 6:30am class and the majority of the girls looked as though the had rolled out of bed. For the first two weeks, I woke up at 4:30 every morning in order to get ready and look 'ravishing', but that trend ended quite quickly...

Not necessarily. Surprisingly, a lot of the female med students in my class get dressed up despite having anatomy currently. There are a few girls who come dressed up every day, change into their scrubs for the 30 min. group presentation in the morning, change back into their nice clothes for lecture and library studying, and then back into their scrubs to go to the anatomy lab in the afternoon. That seems like too much work for me. One girl in particular always looks like a model; when she wears scrubs, it just looks like she's modeling scrubs. The large majority of the girls in my class have just decided that we can look like garbage for the 10 weeks of anatomy (since changing 4 times a day isn't ideal... and anyway, everything you own smells like cadaver fluid 🙁 ). We all pretty much dress up when we go out on weekends... and on the rare occasion we don't go in the cadaver lab for a day.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But it doesn't hurt to fantasize nonetheless.

Interesting fact: I came in to college thinking I would fall for a blonde, but now I am in the brunette/redhead stage. Still deciding.



EDIT: I currently TA a class where one of the undergrads is most definitely trying to catch my eye. I have to avoid the temptation of giving in, as the ethical repercussions would be bad, to say the least. Once this darn class is over, however, the green (or I should say, red) pastures are calling 😛

Yeah, well, a good chunk of the guys in my class either have sig others or they satisfy their desire to stare at "fine legs" (and quite a bit more) by hitting the bars and strip clubs. We definitely have a fair number of girls walking around in short shorts and spaghetti straps though.

Anyway, I usually go to class in gym shorts and a t-shirt w/ my glasses on since I usually roll right out of bed and don't want to put in my contacts. My hair is usually all over the place, but that's cool because the whole "sex hair" thing is in and I have longer, curly hair B.

The key to getting with hot girls is to ignore the fact that they're hot.

Truth, at least for me. I used to fall asleep at my boyfriend's house til like 5AM, roll out of bed and drive home for a change of clothes... or at least let my mom know I was still alive, then go to school.

BIG thumbs up for bringing that up. Also, the smell when freshly showered gorgeous pre-med girls walk by in the morning is a better stimulant than caffeine......they should really consider bottling that up somehow.

I hope this trend continues into medical school, 'cause I would sure love to have a smart, conscientious and absolutely mesmerizing woman as my life partner.

But I hate to break it to you that 70-80% of the gals in a given incoming class are either already tied up or in a serious relationship already. And the stragglers are either annoying or hardcore career women that think relationships will get in the way of their specialty.

I like my nerd school thank you very much. Of course the school sold me on the fact that it was 60% men, a rarity nowadays -- only to find out once I started that a good chunk of them stay in their room playing video games all day. <sigh>

I don't know about the other girls, but for me it's a holdover from my study abroad. Seriously. In Japan, girls spent about 2 hours every morning just doing their hair and make-up - and that was before the 7:00 a.m. cutoff for breakfast where I lived! I had to spruce up or I'd get laughed out of the dining room. No joke!

But seriously? Once you've done it enough, it becomes quick and almost second nature. My morning routine is seriously: get out of bed, make breakfast, get dressed, do hair and makeup, skim chapter/notes for class, and head out. It literally takes me 45 minutes to finish all that. Of that, maybe 10 minutes is spent on my appearance. And let me tell you - I look good when I leave the house!

And really, I'm usually out all day, so it just makes sense to take those extra ten minutes in the morning to make sure I'm put together. +10 professionalism points right there!

This is what online dating is for... Make fun of me if you wish but I can guarantee when I get to medical school next year, I'll be doing it. No ultra-serious career-minded girl would ever put up with my cockiness, bad attitude, and just general BS. I'll have to keep dating the over-privileged, prissy suburban white girls like I did all throughout college. Course after being the serial monogamist troll that I am through six relationships in the past 3 years I realize it may not exactly ever work in the long-term but here's to trying, Johnson 👍
