Easier said than done!! I don't even have enough money to eat properly and my credit card bills far exceed my bank account...

I believe there's a sticky about this, but thanks for the reminder. You could lead by example! 😉
1. I live in a house with 7 other girls. I don't really have a choice when it comes to Internet
2. My parents bought me my laptop as a high school graduation present
3. At this day in age, it is hard to function in college without a computer

Thus begins the jeremiad...
No... I'm just not going to sell a computer I didn't pay for and that is required by some of my coursework (only offered online) to eat better food while in college. It's just called being a college student. I'm trying to avoid any loans beyond my federal loans.
In all seriousness though, it's probably a mod in disguise.
Nope. I just checked and there is no IP match.
You chose a computer and internet access over eating properly?
No offense, but what a stupid thing to say. Any student should know and be able to recognize that many, many students have to eat ramen more than a few times through undergrad, and that internet access is a top priority.

I'll bet those were some lonely years, eh? 😉
All I have to say is that I can go the rest of my life without ever eating ramen, bologna or straight up pinto beans and rice, though red beans and rice still floats my boat.
I have had several lifetimes supply of that stuff over the years and I vowed to never eat it again if I had any other choice.
We also ate a lot of Taco Bell and free crackers and ketchup packets when times were lean.

You didn't by any chance have a dog then? Because you could have always blamed the dog if all else failed!

Thinking the same thing..... I don't have cable tv but damned if I am giving up the internet
I didn't have to pay for the 'net for the first 2.5 years, as my housemate got it "free" because he worked from home once in a blue moon. We had free HBO for 2+ years because a hurricane knocked out the cable, and when they turned it back on it magically was there. Of course, Wilma came and knocked it out again...and then when it was restored a couple weeks later HBO was gone. I guess hurricanes aren't all bad!Thinking the same thing.....
