Thoroughly convinced by the committed people on this board that action is needed. Someone needs to advocate for us and it seems that the ASAPAC is doing a commendable job.

As a 4th year medical student applying for Anesthesia, I feel that I have the most to gain from any advances that are made. Hence, I want to donate.

1. I tried the ASA website but can't find a link "Donate money here"
2. Do you have to be a member of ASA to donate?

Thanks for helping me invest in my future.

I'm sure there is a way to donate without being a member,

There isn't, members only ... emphasis theirs on the donation page:

But like you said, $10 if you're a med student.

Speaking as a current Student member and proud ASAPAC contributor, it is well worth it. The journal Anesthesiology alone is worth much more. Plus, you get a monthly newsletter that keeps you up on the goings-on in the Anesthesiology world.

The ASAPAC doesn't ask for a huge contribution from us poor-@$$ med students, but every bit counts. It's your career for which they're advocating.

It's only 10 bucks for med students.

The $10 is a deal, but the chair signature is what was holding me back. Will make it happen tomorrow. Thanks.

Hope all the other applicants will also contribute a little this year. This is a pivotal time for health reform and an investment today could result in substantial rewards in the future, but only if things go in our favor.

~1800 applicants, $100 each = $180,000! That could persuade a few House members. 😉

I'm just going to assume my $150,000 education/application process cost a $100 more.
