hello everyone ,

iam done with the exam. for all those who are taking in the coming days..my advice...be very thorough with basics...whatever material u r following, see to it that u have a basic idea about every topic..nothing in deep.. testlets were the easiest of all..its all very practical..u just need to b patient while doing the testlets..if u can get an answer for one question..u will b able to do the whole testlet correct..i havent done any question papers so iam not sure if there were any repeats..i have done decks..from the decks the most useful part was the cards with basics..dental anatomy..nothing abt tooth movements..mayb 1/2..ita all abt the morphology...all of u b very thorough with the tooth morphology..will fetch u a lot of marks..and will boost ur confidence while doing the exam as they come in betwwen other subjects...physiology and pathology u can just count on decks..anatomy , biochem, micro...dont neglect kaplan..i think these materials are more than enough...dont waste ur time in doin lots of question papers..just have a look at 1/ 2 papers..utilise the time in revising basics...esp anatomy...

well thanks a lot for all the information u have given to us...can u help me in this that i should do all my dental textbooks from all again or i should just do preperation with dental deks and the kaplans?

yetident....there were no diagrams in my paper..not even one..


drgdcuknow.....only one thing..u must know something regarding a topic..so that u can eliminate answers easily to a question to which u dont know the answer. for eg..urea cycle..u must know the intermediates and the enzymes names..read it whereever u find it easy..if u dont have that much time just make a search on wilkepedia and make some points like u hav on backside of the decks..just read and read again and again whtevr u hav done so far..just make urself familiar with a topic..this really helps in exam..when u r unable to make a choice for a question atleast u can eliminate few possibilities if u hav a vague idea abt a topic..just make 2/3points in a book..it will b helpful bfr going to exam..i couldnot read anything for the 2 to 3 days bfr exam..that much tensed i was...

yes you can go back to any question by marking it,I mean you should choose the option"marked" for any question that you're not sure about ,at the end you can review the marked questions ,

For anatomy, i have studied histology from decks, gross anatomy..kaplan review mtl, decks and wilkepedia...oral histology mainly decks, developmental biology-kaplan review..

Good luck with your results. do u remember roughly how many clinical questions were there. i heard around 20 %, so 80 questions? how did u find those questions? was decks good in that aspect too? anyways, good luck to u, and all those who r going for the exam and waiting for the results!

The paper-based exam doesn't exist anymore. The computer-based exam is your only option

in the first 200 bits the last 50 were testlets..and after the break..the first 30/40 were again testlets followed by normal questions....even though they give a scenario the questions in them were like any other normal bits...basics only...dont worry..its all abt the confidence....

smilingdays...clinical scenario questions...i havent done anything other than the ones in the decks...and they werent so useful to me in my exam paper...but i did get an idea how these questions would b..that is enough...

Ok first of all i am a he. Points from the exam i think the exam that i took was really straight forward the first 70 question were so easy that anybody with general knowleadge could had anwsred them. The testlets question were simple scenarios of patiants with conditions like high blood preassure, hypothiroidsm, sjroem symdrome or whatever that hell you spell that. The ask a lot of questions for TMJ i mean a lot when i thought i was done with TMJ question they kept coming. So anatomy was easy simple question and the answer just pop out of the screen, pathology was easy too simple problems no weird diseases, occlusion i would say 5 questions were what the hell are you talking about. Bio was easy too not complicated questions straight forward. Alot of Nuclear biology, metabolism, protein structure. In general i thought iwas easy so easy that scares me either i knew the question or i was anwereing so bad that i was getting easy question. Well i guess i will know in 3 weeks.

did u refer anything else for the testlets like the kaplan online course or just did the text

i have just bought latest decks and it also includes kaplan and all papers from 1971 to 2007. and it is very much helpful to have good score in exam. i have done with that.

I just find a resource of the exam materials just here in SdN,go to the part of selling and buying part and I'm pretty sure that you can find what you want,

Hey hi,
Just stumbled on ur post... am giving my boards in aug 17th i am revising my decks and doing papers any suggestions for the last one month. I cant remember everything on decks...🙁 and i wanted to ask u one more thing, when i saw the released papers and the remembered papers, i found that the released were a lot easier than the remembered dunno if thats wat i feel or thats the fact... So are there any repeats in whole of papers? and for biochem how did it go?
