Today was the hardest test in my entire university life.
and it was my last in this school. Hopefully.
It either gonna make or break my GPA
but I am kinda happy I am done, now I have the Dat to go.
Honestly, after this test, I don't think I am ready to prepare for DAT yet, I'll start studying after 10 days to 2 weeks.
I think I gained 11 pounds because of this class. I need to see the gym again!
I need to detox or whatever people do, and I'll probably miss my graduation. Oh well!

Ps. I forced myself to log out of SDN for the finals exam week, It was hard, but it was also helpful to get away and focus on my finals.

CONGRATS! Such a great feeling, isn't it? After my last final of undergrad, I just didn't know what to do with myself! Luckily I already had the DAT out of the way. Enjoy this accomplishment and use it as motivation for the DAT!

Thank you! I don't know what to feel yet, I still have a headache. haha

Haha grats! Hope you did well. I have a bit over a month left too.

I guess we had the total opposite during our last final exams. When i finished my last exam, I just shrugged it off and went back to my lab right away and started doing experiments. I was so burnt out that it didn't even sink in that I was done uni until 2 weeks later.

Yeah, I already know I finished, and I am worried about that, but I know sadness will come later when I have no school to go and done with my dat. I am not used to not going to schools and I'll have "nothing to do" crisis haha. I mean if you say what do you want to do, work or study. I'll answer I want to study rather than work.

Congrats with completing undergrad classes! Focus entirely on the DAT and make sure you are both mentally and physically well throughout the entire study period. Keeping the same mentality and surroundings the same during the day of the DAT is also important. If you don't normally drink coffee/energy drinks while DAT prep, then don't use it the day of the exam. Relax the day before the DAT: go for a morning walk or watch a movie, not a marathon to both. LOL

Good Luck,
DOC YANKEM

Thanks for the helpful tips, I drink tea and coffee everyday, the coffee must be with creamer though 😛
do you think volunteering for one day a week in my off days will be bad for my dat preparation. I know it's suggested we have a rest day, so I figured I would volunteer for 2-3 hours in that day, what do you think?

You will have a lot of time to do everything. Even if you are preparing for 6 weeks. You will have plenty of time to do other activities, so yes, I recommend you to shadow on your off days.

Everyone is different, literally... I didn't like studying 8 hours a day for 6 weeks straight. I ended up studying whenever I could for an entire year for my DAT and have more flexibility for other distractions on the weekend. My rest days were the weekends with family and friends. Just remember that after taking the DAT, you shouldn't slack off. Go on vacations, do things you have always wanted to, but also improve your application whenever you can. Continue shadowing/assisting, volunteering, and working because you can send academic updates during your application cycle even after February on a waitlist.

These are very helpful tips.
thank you so much. I will try my best to convince the dentist I am shadowing to allow me to shadow in the future. Maybe he'll accept 2 hours weekly.
As for volunteering, yes I am planning to keep on volunteering.

Luckily, I got A in this class 🙂
