So I took it today. I'm ambivalent about the whole ordeal. I ran out of time on QR because of the damn calculator. Not that punching in was annoying, but I relied on it too much and did things the long way instead of the short. But on the flip side, verbal passages related to courses in my undergraduate, so I mainly just answered from knowledge.

breakdown:
PAT 30
QR 19
RC 20
B 24
GC 27
OC 22
TS 24 99.3
AA 22 96.4

Hope you all do well out there. And thanks for the help over the past couple months.

Edit: Don't let achiever demoralize you. I never did anywhere as well (14-18's).

Congrats! I have very similar stats with yours. Are you going to post score breakdown?

wow howd you do so well on PAT and Sciences?
Whats your secret please?
Did you switch from med to dental?
Thanks

What do you mean by score breakdown, like %?

I didn't switch from premed to predent. I would still consider myself premed (though not by much). The reason I took the DAT was because I didn't want the possibility of not getting into med school waste 1 year of my life.

I would say I had a good gchem and biology base from MCAT (take in jan 09). But I didn't remember a lot of things. And sadly, the DAT requires a lot of memorization (something i'm bad at) vs concepts of MCAT (good at).
So I spent a bit of time on those two, and then some for biology to cover plants, evolution, ecology; stuff that weren't on the MCAT.

I did buy crack dat pat, destroyer (used), and achiever. Also got a kaplan dat (3rd edition, lol) for free.
PAT: I finished PAT with 30 minutes left and used the time to review. cube folding / angles / hole punching were easier than actual CDP.
Bio: I can probably recite to you all of KBB. A LOT of problems similar to Destroyer.
GC: Fairly simple, I'm not sure what I missed *_*
OC: < Took 3 ochem quarters (05-06) and got B-/C+ in all 3. So I knew that this section would need the most improvement. I read KBB ochem twice (1 week before exam) and did the problems in destroyer 3 times. I wouldn't say I know Ochem, but I had done enough cram memorization in last week that I will do fairly good on any Ochem exam in the next day or two.
Sadly, math is my best subject.

wait what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finished PAT with 30 mins left???? wow.... great scores by the way.... you raped this thing...

I guess every test has its hard and easy part... perhaps math was harder than usual?
So you will be applying to both med and dental this summer? How?

IM GONNA ASK YOU, and i mean this is the nicest way POSSIBLE
HOW THE HELL
DID YOU PULL OFF A 30 FOR PAT? i want to be you. youre a champ. im so proud and i dont even know you.

I found PAT section pretty simple. But damn, I never got anything higher than 25 on the practice exam. I always finish them in 30-40 mins and don't look back (too lazy 🙄).

How is that even possible? 😱 I have troubles getting it done in 60 min.😡

Congratulations on those scores though. 👍

Lol, those are some badass scores. Nice going! Not even going to ask how you pulled off that PAT score....if you srsly did that well and had half an hour to spare afterwards, you must be some kind of 3D-imaging god.

And that is a sick MCAT score too! Don't know why you're worried you won't get into med school with that, but I totally get you--you want options in case things don't work out. I'm pre-med technically too and am considering sorta the same thing as you, though at this point I'm leaning more heavily toward dentistry.

Whats your secret with ANGLES? It's really hard for me, especially upside down ones and stuff... any tips?
thanks

just played a lot of video games as a kid?

kinda tough part having astigmatism, but i did the 10 exams crack dat pat 2x each, once a day the 20 days before exam. i was getting 13-14's on them towards the end (out of 15 on angles) and had about 30 mins left over towards end.

the dat was a little bit simpler, though pixel counting on angles doesn't work. A bit of luck too i suppose.
