hello guys, I have completed my UW with an average of 73% and i got very bad scores in NBME and UWSAs. here is the result
UWSA 2= 510-221
NBME 7 = 460-214
NBME 5 = 430-207
UWSA 1 = 480-214
I found UWSA more harder than the NBMEs. I came to the conclusion that the reason why I got good score in UW bank but not in these exams is because in UW my strong areas which were plenty were masking the effect of weak areas. Whereas in these exams, the number of questions of my strong areas were not enough to mask the weak area effect. and also it's possible that I had more question in my weak areas thus leading to low score compared to UW bank score. I'm very sure my overall knoweldge base is better than these scores but in order for me to get my deserved score i have to hit the weak areas. Guys please dont ignore ur weak areas, it can mean the difference between good score and bad score. I believe the weak areas is what accounts for prediction of different NBMEs and UWSAs and why people get different scores. for example if i had usmle score of 221 i would say UWSA 2 was very predictive when in reality there was less number of qs in my weak areas and thus less effect on the overall score. of course other reasons can account for this but the effect of weak areas is more important. gl
