Hey everyone, I just wanted to post a thread quickly to let you know about my recent experience with the OAT. I found this forum about three weeks ago and started reading posts fairly frequently. The more that I read, the more nervous I became because it seems as if everyone posting their scores had excellent TS/AA scores. I want to let you know that it is possible to do well without being a genius/slave to studying. Here is how I prepared for the OAT, which I took yesterday afternoon. I worked 40 hours a week and took a summer class all summer, so I didn't begin to study until late July. I didn't take a Kaplan course, didn't use OAT Achiever, or any other program advertised to help you improve your scores. I studied old notes, library books from the public library, and used resources available to me without spending any money. I have never taken a physics class in my life so I taught myself physics for the past month. I woke up early the morning of the test and drove over 100 miles to the nearest test site. And when it was all said and done...I got a TS score of 350 and an AA score of 340. Granted these aren't the best scores that I've seen people post, but for those of you out there in a similar situation, don't stress! If I can do it (pretty average student overall) then you can too...
