Doomed?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Your description of ECs and research is pretty vague, but assuming you ideally have all of the categories covered (clinical volunteering, shadowing, teaching, research, community service, leadership experiences, etc.), then I would say you have a very good shot at DO and a chance at MD as well. For allopathic schools, I would recommend applying as early as possible and to a wide range of schools. The MCAT helps make up for the low GPA somewhat, but everything else has to be solid.

Unless your breakdown of the MCAT is 15/15/6, you are just making everyone else freak out.

chances for MD and DO?
Nice job on the MCAT. Well done. If your ECs are as strong as you've suggested in past posts (I do hope there is some US-based clinical experience in there), you surely have a chance at MD schools (~61%) and an excellent shot at a DO acceptance. It will help if your last semester shows a continuing upward grade trend, particularly in upper-level science.
