Well since Cole Hamels is my ace, I found this bit of information.

Apr 1 The Phillies have hired Michael Weinik, an osteopathic physician and associate chairman of the Temple University Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, to their medical staff as a "consultant for spinal evaluation and manipulation," the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.Recommendation: Given Hamels' constant back woes, this should come as welcome news for him.

For all of your fantasy baseballers out there, let's compare rosters. Here's mine:

C: Saltalamacchia 😡 (Now Pierzienski)
1B: Morneau
2B: Uggla
3B: A-Rod
SS: Michael Young
OF: Jason Bay
OF: Brad Hawpe
OF: Jermaine Dye
Util: Juan Pierre, Alex Gordon, Adrian Gonzalez

SP: Chien-Ming Wang, Sabathia, Carlos Zambrano, Ben Sheets
RP: Francisco Cordero, Joe Borowski, Isringhausen, Joba Chamberlain
Additional P: Tim Hudson

DL: Josh Beckett, Curtis Granderson

I think my team is sick-nasty :meanie:. What do you guys think?

C- Posada
1B- Teixeria
2B- Roberts
SS- Guillen
3B- ARod
LF- Carlos Lee
CF- Byrnes
RF- Hawpe
UT- Hafner

SP- Maine, Hill, Shields, Hughes, Harden, Billingsley
RP- Capps, Soriano, Gregg, Brian Wilson

My starting pitching needs a little help, but could be fine if Harden stays healthy. I like my offense, but so far they aren't playing too well.

If Bay has a bounce back year and Hawpe can learn to hit lefties, I say you have a real good shot at 1st. 👍 Who was your 2nd round pick?

Also, you might be a little light in steals. You were set until Pierre lost his starting spot to Ethier. He should still get 30 in limited time though.

This is my keeper league going on season #5:

C: Geovanny Soto
1B: Travis Hafner
2B: Dan Uggla (hes good cuz its an OPS not AVG league)
3B: David Wright
SS: Michael Young
IF: Jason Giambi
OF: Ichiro
OF: Adam Dunn (see Uggla)
OF: Kosuke Fukudome
Util: Nick Swisher

SP: Roy Halladay
SP: Jake Peavy
SP: Daisuke Matsuzaka
RP: Joe Borowski
RP: Kevin Gregg
RP: Troy Percival
P: Phil Hughes
P: Adam Wainwright
P: Clay Bucholz
P: Joba Chamberlain

2nd round pick was Beckett. I completely forgot about my draft and wasn't able to do my normal, appropriate research. Still, my pitching is nasty and I think overall my offense is great too. About the steals; Every single year I'm light on steals. I'm hoping to get 20 from A-Rod again, and I was hoping for a few out of Pierre, which is the specific reason why I drafted him. I figured I could put him into the utility slot because I have so many great hitters in my lineup already. Maybe Pierre will be traded and he'll start elsewhere? That would be the BCS I think. Anyway, who was your second pick? Your team is very similar to mine in make-up.

I took Carlos Lee and Mark Teixeira with my back to back second and third picks. I rarely go after pitching before round 7 or 8. I usually end up with number 2 starters or injury prone guys for a staff. Still, I usually come in the top five for pitching catagories. With a strong offense it still gets the job done. If it aint broke, right?
