You see the banal DO vs MD schtick pop up from time to time, so here's a bio from one of the keynote speakers from the North American Spine Society's meeting for this year.

Heidi Prather, DO
First Vice President of NASS
Professor and Chief of Section for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Prather serves as a section editor for SpineLine and senior editor for PM&R. She is a recipient of the Rosenthal Award, Orthopedics Award for excellence in teaching, as well as the Distinguished Clinician Award. Listed in the Best Doctors publication from 2001 to present, Dr. Prather joined NASS in 2002 and currently serves on the NASS Board of Directors as First Vice President, is a member of the Executive Committee and board member for the North American Spine Specialists.
