Hi everyone,

I came across a question in the Destroyer Biology about what is unique to angiosperms. The answer was double fertilization. But when I search it up on google, gymnosperms can also do double fertilization (although very, very few). If this is true, then double fertilization is no longer unique to angiosperms. Anyone feedback is appreciate to enlighten me. Maybe I'm over-thinking this. Thanks!

Regardless of the truth or of what you read, the DAT is based on a textbook. Verbatim from a concept title in Campbell:

CONCEPT 31.1 Flowers, double fertilization, and fruits are
unique features of the angiosperm life cycle.

So, I'd go with that right there, the source material, rather than something you found through a google search.

There are exceptions to every rule, but remember it is the dat you are not defending a phd thesis or something really, really in depth. The dat will test you on general knowledge from each subject, so just know the basic rules and you will be fine.
