downstate scholarships?

The SUNY Downstate website says "Some scholarships based on academic achievement are available" but I can't find them anywhere on the site - just financial aid for those that are disadvantaged. Has anyone gotten merit scholarships or know more about them? Thanks.

I think they are automatically given based, but not entirely sure. I'd be interested to know this as well.
