hmm well.. i just went there to shadow a student this past friday. most of the students there seem really happy. most of the ones i met are living in the dorms. if i end up at downstate, i'm actually thinking of living off campus tho. generally, i think you shouldn't walk around late at night by yourself. but that's how it's like almost everywhere in ny. the class seems pretty cohesive and does stuff together, so i don't think that should be too much of a problem.
