This secondary question was asked in previous years: "Describe what personal, urban experiences prepare you to live and study in New York City." As a reapplicant, I was wondering if this still applies if you sent a primary app but did not complete their secondary last year.

I don't see how that would change your answer to the question. It didn't ask anything about reapplication

Sorry I meant this question:
If you had a completed application to the College of Medicine in a prior application cycle, please highlight any changes since your previous application in a list with dates. If this question does not apply to you, enter "not applicable" in the text box below.

Does completed mean like it was fully completed cause I didn't complete the secondary for this school.

To me it seems they purposefully specified the word "completed" or else they could just say "applied." Did you receive a rejection letter last cycle? I believe they could not have even evaluated you without a completed application, so I would mark it NA

I have my application ready to submit but is anyone else running into issues where the LOR and MCAT scores haven't been received?

my LOR and MCAT both say "Not Received" as well, but the portal says to "please allow time for the Admissions Office to complete the review and processing of your application" as the reason

I submitted my state school, SUNY Downstate Secondary, on July 3rd at 2 pm (excluding the 4th of July holiday), and I received an interview invitation at 9:00 a.m. on July 7th, exactly 1 business day after. It took them one business day to get back to me. I'm very confused and happy about this, as I thought the earliest possible interview for AMCAS schools was in late July or early August. How did they read my application so fast? Is this the norm for people who complete their application in early July?
There is no rule about when they can invite you for interviews, only a rule that the first offers of admission cannot be made until October 15 or later.

For the one about any gaps, are you just putting N/A instead of talking about your job during your gap year?
for the gaps in education or employment, if you graduated from school a year ago and therefore had a gap before applying, write about that. If you haven't had any gaps as they describe, then N/A

Is your application still saying this? I recently applied and have still have these sections not checked off. I received my secondary from them July 4th so I would have assumed they'd have time to check everything off by now

i submitted 7/2 and by 7/3 they had checked everything off, i'm not sure if by submitted they then check it off manually, or it just happened to coincide

Downstate doesn’t necessarily review apps in order of receiving them right? I submitted 7/1 and haven’t heard anything back so I just want to make sure.

Their website says they have a “modified rolling admissions” process so I’m not sure

downstate's college of medicine website states "Applications are not reviewed in the order that they are completed, so there may be a considerable delay between when your application is complete and when you are notified of your admissions status."
