did anyone who interviewed this week hear from their student interviewer yet? i interviewed a few days ago and haven't heard from the student interviewer and not sure if i should email admissions

theres an interview with a faculty member at the "official" interview day and they tell you that soon after your interview day a current student will email you to schedule a separate interview with them

I'm in the same boat, i interviewed on monday 8/4 and haven't heard yet and constantly checking my email so i don't miss it lol. i will probably email admissions about a week after my interview

Does anyone know what happens if you accidentally submit more than 2 individual letters? Is this school like USC where they just let the reviewers choose 2 random ones?
Those who had the faculty interview already, after how long you had student interviews? Are the dates flexible? Currently trying to take days off from work for the interview but there is like no instruction for student interviews. Will be really helpful if anyone could share their experience!

they asked for my availability for the same week i had my faculty interview. very flexible scheduling. i had mine within 2-3 days. my specific interviewer said nighttime was okay too, so maybe you don't need to take off work. i had mine at 8pm, after work, lol

does anyone know if this school accepts letters of interest after an interview? their website mentions update letters being accepted in the spring semester, but nothing about LOIs

don't do it, in the MSAR, it says LOI is accepted for people who did not get an II or secondary yet from the school
Yes, its very short though and shouldn't take you longer than 30 minutes. The interview itself was also very chill, standard set of questions and some time to ask about the school!

So the faculty interview could last from 10:30 to 12 pm, depending on how much you like to talk. The assignment takes 15-20 min to do and you get it on the same day. It has no impact on your admission decision.

I got my writing assignment at like 6am the day of my interview. They do say to submit it by 4pm but it’s very short

Mine was more relaxed! Although they still had a list of questions to go through, my interviewer really made the effort for it to be more conversational than my faculty interviewer
anyone know when they send decisions this early in the cycle? i've heard conflicting things. my peer-interviewer told me it's different this early, and i wont necessarily have to wait until february. but other Downstate students say feb is the absolute earliest. can anyone clarify?

same. IS submitted mid-July and haven't heard a thing
im IS and submitted end of june / early july immediately after i got my secondary. so maybe that's why i've heard back already. LM 69 with huge GPA upward trend

+1 IS II this week. LM 76. Complete mid-August.
Just so ur aware, for me this meant they looked at my app and one of my LORs didn't meet their requirements, had to call them abt it. u should check the portal and see if there is something else they want if you haven't already.

did you previously get the interview or just today? I want to verify because I submitted way after you (8/2) and got an interview 8/21 recently. I assumed the school did not randomly shuffle but if it is then I can inform some people I know

on admit it looks like last year for downstate the bulk of r’s came out in Jan & Apr & for upstate Dec & Feb
Yeah Downstate's my dream school but it's been radio silence from in-state, even NYITCOM

when do the bulk of interviews come out for both? I'm still under review for upstate and it has been like two months... should I just expect a pre-II rejection

In the September info session, they said they'd probably send their first wave of decisions in December/January. Has anyone been to an info session since where they said anything different?
If I interviewed in October, will I get invited for the November Q&A session, or the October one? I know they are held on the first or second Friday of every month, but I haven't received information for the one being held this Friday yet.
