Anyone watch that episode where Dr. Kirby is doing a lip augmentation and his patient syncopized, likey from vasovagal and instead of going through the ABC's, with his patient still unconscious, he hurries the nurse to get drinking water for the patient. I was like, wtf?

In real life, you sometimes don't carry out the real ABC's by opening the airway, formally assessing for breathing, and then checking for a pulse.

Most EM physicians can walk into a room and just look at the patient and tell he/she has a patent airway, if they are breathing, and will assume they have a pulse if they are breathing.

if you have a million people watching you, at least go through the motions. plus, the patient was older. throw some nasal canula o2 at her and hook her up to a monitor. i've had patients arrest from vfib look just like how this patient knocked-out.

I watch that show but only for the humor of the Rey's F'd up family and his stupid spoiled wife. Rey is a d bag w/ his ju jitsu and horrible bedside manner. Will Kirby is such a conceited *****.
