Hey guys.. I'm a new member.... And I was wondering if there is any difference between the old collins' study guide and the new one? I bought mine from a friend but I'm not exactly sure what version I have. My quantitative section does have some geometry... Does the new version include geometry? I also have all the updates (including the june 2011 update!!) I was looking at other posts and some people said that the 2007 version didn't help them at all! I think mine is 2007.... But is it really that different??? I would really appreciate if somebody could help me!! I have to take this test on January!! I really need to know if I should buy the new version.....

Thanks!!

You know i am studying off of the 2007 study packet. I am also confused whether i should purchase an updated version or not. To answer you question, Geometry is not on the Quantitative section of the exam.

I don't know what you guys have heard or been told, but if you expect the PCAT to have absolutely no geometry at all then good luck with your 2012 PCAT goals.

It does not have a geometry section, but it may have questions in which you could use some geometry to solve. But from what I understand, geometry was pretty much removed.

Quantitative Ability (40 Minutes) 48 Items
Basic Math 15%
Algebra 20%
Probability & Statistics 20%
Precalculus 22%
Calculus 22%

In order to understand trig, you must know geometry and trig IS on the test. So, if you do not understand geometry, it's best to learn it anyway before the PCAT.
