Radiology or Bust right 😉?
I matched at LSU-Shreveport Rads, my #4. I'm friggin ECSTATIC. My top 3 were community programs, and as a matter of fact, my #3 was where one of the Rads unfilled spots was this year. A modicum of deduction would lead to the conclusion that those fockers didn't rank me
! I suspected that might happen b/c I was getting bad vibes from one of the residents there, and that's a program where the residents themselves actually determine the program's ROL. No biggie though. This may even be better in the long run since I'm shooting for a Neuro IR fellowship. That and I remember seeing this ULTRA COOL new mammography contraption at LSU... it looked like a guillotine 😱! I can't wait to play with that bad boy 😀.
I wouldn't feel complete without thanking SDN and everyone on these boards for all the helpful advice and encouragement I've gleaned from here. Voxel, WBC, and Jim Picotte--my Radiologist colleagues--y'all in particular served as my inspiration. Fellow Caribs and other IMGs out there... it's an uphill climb I know, but it can be done... and if it can be done, YOU can do it.
I sincerely hope everyone else out there has been as fortunate and blessed as I have. Congrats to all of you 🙂!

i ended up matching way down my list....
but... hey... i get to stay home with my folks a little longer ^^;;;
all these PDs... sweet talks... one even sending me congratulations.... their promise to rank me high.... all turned out to be lies 🙁
my parents are the only ones excited about this...
they were worried about the "big" move...
but i can enjoy some more dependence😀
a lot of money saved too... no rent... no grocery... no utilities...😛
now that i know where i'm going... i'm scared if i'll do well there... and the anxieties of finally becoming a doc....
i wish everyone much success in their internships and thanks for sharing all the undulating moments.... the feelings are now flashing back like a panorama......

I got prelim med at Illinois Masonic right here in Chicago... not a blissful TY but not the roughest PM either... and in a great part of Chicago with tons of hot little Barr bodies running around all over the place. Where are you going for your first year? St. Franny's? St. Joe's? Defnitely bro... we'll most definitely meet up... ever been to the North Avenue Beach outdoor gym? I feel like AHHHNOOOLLLDDD there 😉... can't wait for June 😎...
