Dr. Oz to lead Centers for Medicare and Medicaid: Implications for Pain?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
He came out as against epidural steroid injections in the past

I don’t recall it being a nuanced “ they have a role in radicular pain”

I recall it was broad brush against it, but I hope I’m wrong
Your recollection is correct. Answering questions about his comments was a PIA for weeks.

Loads of sensationalism, nary a wink of nuance.

Wow, I watched this and was pleasantly surprised.

Certainly it's sensational TV stuff in the beginning to capture attention but toward the end, I think Dr. Lynch represented us well as did the testimonial by the informed and well treated patient.

To me the takeaway is that there are a lot of quacks doing these and it's critically important to see an actual board certified pain specialist for treatment.

That episode was such BS. I love how they called offices and asked if Depo was FDA approved as if the person answering the phones has any clue.

What a tool- shilling for chiropractors and using the nihilists from UW to drive home the point. Dr. Oz is so FOS.

"Is it worth even one paralyzed patient..."

Well, is it worth one dead patient so we can have CABG?
