For those that have done them, what was the dress code like for the research oriented day? As formal as the residency interviews?

For those that have done them, what was the dress code like for the research oriented day? As formal as the residency interviews?

I suited it up both days. I was on a big interview swing anyway (12 interviews in 9 cities in 2 weeks) so I had 3 suits w/ me and it was no big deal. The 2nd day (at least the places I went) wasn't so much research oriented as it was fellowship oriented...one day medicine, one day fellowship - w/ a research bent.
