Just curious, what is the accepted dress code for conferences?

I've been to ASIPP courses and saw people wearing anything from t-shirt/blue jeans to a 2 piece suit.

What about the AAPM annual meeting? Would dress shirt/slacks +/- Tie suffice? Or do you need a jacket too?

i think you are treated better if you dress nicely but unless you are interviewing or have a thin skin it does not matter much. my two cents.

Flamingo pink tuxedo or light orange tux. Otherwise you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

At SIS Hawaii I saw a lot of Hawaiian flower shirts and shorts.
At NANS Las Vegas EVERYBODY was in a suit

Tshirt, jeans, Chuck Taylors. I'm paying money to sit in a dark room to learn while it's nice in whatever city the conference happens to be in, so I figure I've earned the right to be comfortable wearing whatever I want.
