the only school i know of is nova......over there, they have to either dress up and wear white coats or wear scrubs.........i also think they have some rule that atleast once every week or every two weeks, they have to wear the white coat with nice clothes.....but definitley no jeans....

I don't think NOVA is quite that .... (searching for tactful word) ... extreme?

I heard that Georgetown asks that students dress professionally from day one of MSI. Not 100% sure if that's true, as I didn't interview there.
Personally, I like the idea of a dress code in medical school, or any professional school, for that matter. Hell, I think colleges should bring them back. Then again, my friends always say that I was born a few generations too late....

If you are a Year One, you are required to wear Medical School logo t-shirts/sweatshirts as often as possible so everyone knows you are a medical student. Oh, and if you are a guy, you have to wear scrubs in the undergraduate fitness center in order to attract women. Year Two, you need to look like you just rolled out of bed at all times, and NEVER wear any school logo clothing. Year Three and Four you have to wear whatever leftover slacks/skirts/ties you still own from your medical school interviews.
