Any ideas how these two compare? I am assuming that because the core coursework and opportunities for clerkship are the same between the two that perhaps they have similar reputations. BUT, I can't seem to find much info on Drew's reputation other than the King/Drew hospital is ranked somewhere in the bottom 20 (80 something, I think). Reason I ask is that I'd like to know how competitive a Drew grad would be for good Cali residencies. Any thoughts on this?

First 2 years of the programs are identical. For rotations during 3rd and 4th year, Drew students do it at King/Drew, but they can do it elsewhere UCLA is affiliated. I did see the match list from Drew somewhere before, and they were quite impressive. Even if you goto Drew, your degree is from UCLA so it shouldn't make that huge of a difference.

Thanks, Dr. Z. These were pretty much my thoughts. A colleague of my father's (a physician) spoke negatively to me about the caliber of intern/resident coming from King/Drew which made me question the training obstained at Drew. It is the interns/residents that play a huge role in teaching med students. Anyway, thanks again!

Anyone else have more info?
