no they don't but they do give you a housing list avai May 1st
Its been 11 weeks from my interview and I'm still in committee, which hasn't changed since early december. Grrrr, I just wanna know if I need to be looking for jobs for an off year or not!
hey man, I just want to say that's probably a good thing, given your mdapplicants.com profile. I have a weaker profile, interviewed 10 weeks ago, and a decision has been made. I am anticipating a rejection or a waitlist because my MCAT is so low. That you haven't heard back is good because it means that, rather than rejecting you, they decided to keep you in the post-interview hold cycle. I know it's painful, but you are better off in that hold than on the rejection/waitlisted side of the fence .. best of luck!
Is it true that you can't hold more than 1 MD acceptance after May 15th?

Yes. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Either way you want to be looking for jobs. It's much better to be safe than sorry (plus, you can always cancel/quit your job)
for those on waitlist I am 99 % sure I will withdraw my acpt. good luck
Nothing for me yet. I interviewed on 1/15.
waitlisted 🙁
Ugh. Sorry man. On the bright side, they may be more stingy this year (as I am sure you know), so a waitlist might not be such a bad thing!

So I got my acceptance from Drexel today....5 weeks post interview....not sure why I got such a fast turn around but I am not going to complain.
Hey for those on the waitlist... I will most likely be withdrawing my acceptance as well!!! Good LUCK! Einstein here I come!

maybe they're just bashing on New Jersey by delaying your response.
Does Drexel straight up reject people post interview or does that happen towards the end of the cycle?
so interviewed at drexel on January 4th. When should i call them to find out the result? I know that they said 6-8 weeks but others are hearing earlier?
given their track record, i'd say 2014

Im in my 13th week post interview, still nothing.
I applied to drexel. My app was complete close to SEVEN MONTHS AGO. Do you know what I have heard from them? Nada. No rejections, no holds, no invites- just silence after "your application is complete".
It's good though, at least I didn't find out how much they suck by going there. Easily worth the secondary fee right there...

This is my 13th week too. My status just changed from "your interview has been scheduled blah blah blah , if you've appeared for your interview please allow 6-8 weeks for a final decision to be made" to "your file is currently under review..."
I'm getting so anxious.

i hear ya man i hear ya. the 6-8 time frame from my interview is just beginning now. i called them and nothing yet.
Calling doesn't seem to get you anywhere with them until about the tenth week.

that means they lost your file, searched desparately for it, and finally found the sucker .. you'll probably receive priority review .. either that or someone forgot to update the status online

Hi all,
I'm a first-year medical student at Drexel, and I have spoken with the Admissions staff on several occasions, so I will do my best to assuage your fears and concerns re: the process.
Yes, it is still very possible to get interview invites at this point, so the fact that you have not heard anything does not mean anything. We conduct interviews here through mid-April. You are not considered rejected until you have received a physical rejection letter. I believe that Drexel rejects people throughout the year, as an earlier post indicated.
So, if you haven't heard anything since your application was complete, just sit tight, and be patient--hard to do, I know. When I was in your shoes last year, that was the one thing that someone could tell me that would not do anything to give me peace of mind. I will say, as long as your application status online indicates that you are complete, relax. Otherwise, you may want to check to make sure all the pieces of information are there (recommendations, etc).
One last thing--I've seen some complaints about how Drexel is slow at processing applications. Here are some things that I can offer in their defense:
#1--The Admissions Committee meets once per week for a few hours.
#2--The Admissions staff has informed me that they have received even more applications than they received last year. It will therefore take more time to process and review these files. Remember, when it is time for your application to be reviewed, you will want the Committee to give it their full, undivided attention.
Sorry if those last couple of things aren't what you wanted to hear, but in general, as you are finding out, the admissions process is very difficult for all involved.
On that note, if I can answer any other questions, please let me know.
Best of luck in the admissions process.
Hey, I'm sure I speak for almost everyone here when I say, THANKS!!! for the info. It's very good of you to make this information available and I thank you very much. Best, Zendoc 😍

Can you put a good word in for me?
I swear I'm awesome.
"Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University."
Theyre the only school that interviewed me and they cant even get their grammar right.
Sheesh

lol i think every single one of their status updates has a typo in it
So I interviewed at Drexel on Feb 8th.. i'm wondering when I will find out what their decision is if many of you who interviewed way before me have yet to find out! looks like its going to be a looooong wait for me!
Judging by past performance, you are most likely to hear something in about 12 weeks. There are some people who were accepted within five weeks. I interviewed on Dec. 1st and expect to receive a notification of their decision sometime next week. It has officially been one week since they updated my status to say a decision was made.
