if Drexel accepts me, then I'm going to wait 12 weeks to tell them whether I want to enroll .. will tell them I'm behind
Its been 11 weeks from my interview and I'm still in committee, which hasn't changed since early december. Grrrr, I just wanna know if I need to be looking for jobs for an off year or not!
Is it true that you can't hold more than 1 MD acceptance after May 15th?

waitlisted 🙁
Ugh. Sorry man. On the bright side, they may be more stingy this year (as I am sure you know), so a waitlist might not be such a bad thing!
it has been 5.5 weeks since a decision has been made
is this normal? i dont think soooo

so interviewed at drexel on January 4th. When should i call them to find out the result? I know that they said 6-8 weeks but others are hearing earlier?
Does Drexel straight up reject people post interview or does that happen towards the end of the cycle?
i hear ya man i hear ya. the 6-8 time frame from my interview is just beginning now. i called them and nothing yet.
This is my 13th week too. My status just changed from "your interview has been scheduled blah blah blah , if you've appeared for your interview please allow 6-8 weeks for a final decision to be made" to "your file is currently under review..."
I'm getting so anxious.
that means they lost your file, searched desparately for it, and finally found the sucker .. you'll probably receive priority review .. either that or someone forgot to update the status online
Hi all,
I'm a first-year medical student at Drexel, and I have spoken with the Admissions staff on several occasions, so I will do my best to assuage your fears and concerns re: the process.
Yes, it is still very possible to get interview invites at this point, so the fact that you have not heard anything does not mean anything. We conduct interviews here through mid-April. You are not considered rejected until you have received a physical rejection letter. I believe that Drexel rejects people throughout the year, as an earlier post indicated.
So, if you haven't heard anything since your application was complete, just sit tight, and be patient--hard to do, I know. When I was in your shoes last year, that was the one thing that someone could tell me that would not do anything to give me peace of mind. I will say, as long as your application status online indicates that you are complete, relax. Otherwise, you may want to check to make sure all the pieces of information are there (recommendations, etc).
One last thing--I've seen some complaints about how Drexel is slow at processing applications. Here are some things that I can offer in their defense:
#1--The Admissions Committee meets once per week for a few hours.
#2--The Admissions staff has informed me that they have received even more applications than they received last year. It will therefore take more time to process and review these files. Remember, when it is time for your application to be reviewed, you will want the Committee to give it their full, undivided attention.
Sorry if those last couple of things aren't what you wanted to hear, but in general, as you are finding out, the admissions process is very difficult for all involved.
On that note, if I can answer any other questions, please let me know.
Best of luck in the admissions process.

I just got an interview offer from Drexel. At this point, am I going to be interviewing for a spot on the waitlist?

"Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University."
Theyre the only school that interviewed me and they cant even get their grammar right.
Sheesh
