Haha yeah I was just about to tell u the letters from last week haven't been printed yet according to the lady on the phone. I really need to know now! I can't sleep ok anymore with all this waiting from these schools. So good luck to both of us for friday 🙂.

Interviewed january 8th. Was told it was gonna be a 4 week wait so as you can imagine I have been a mess of nerves ever since beginning of february.
 
A quick turnaround seems to equal an acceptance. Congrats bubbylover!

excellent news, congratulations!! the feeling of good news like that after the long wait must be very satisfying. with any luck, some of us waitlisters will get some good news from drexel (perhaps in a month or two)...
 
What do the acceptance/rejection/WL letters say?

Is there anyway I could call them on the phone and trick them into telling me my decision?
 
i dont think u can trick them lol.. they are faxing it to me asap. if they say they will fax it how long does it take. the anticipation is killing me.
 
my status changed on friday and i got them to fax me on wednesday. got it in about ten minutes. good luck guys!!

ahhh!!! wednesday my status changed to "under review by the committee" and i was expecting that today it'd change to "a decision has been made" because such has been the trend for bubbylover and jelly...and i interviewed jan 16th, a week after them...but no status change so far...ahhhhhhh!!!:scared:

also guys i was wondering if you could tell me how drexel ranks? what you think its strengths are.
 
Well, my odds of matriculating over to Drexel just decreased dramatically. I was accepted today to PCOM-PA. They have a $2K deposit due on April 15th. So, unless Drexel takes me off the waitlist before then, I will be withdrawing from the waitlist on the 15th.

You can have my spot I just got accepted at Jeff. so I am withdrawing from Drexel and Temple also a few others. I love Jeff and their fin aid package is better. good luck

congrats on your acceptance!

I wouldnt withdraw from drexel's waitlist if you would rather go there, $2,000 is nothing (especially compared to both schools' tuition)
 
Yeah, I hear you xanthomondo about the cash, and thx dr. midnight for the kind offer. I just don't prefer Drexel that much more than PCOM. I know not everyone agrees with me on that point, but for my needs they are pretty equal. Really, it would end up coming down to the financial aid packages.

So, Drexel, the game is on! You have 1.5 months to accept or else it is over. Good luck to all the other Drexel hopefuls!

Did you already get you financial aid package from Jeff? I filled out the fafsa for them but what else do they require?
 
Drexel is waitlisting many of you qualified applicants. I am getting worried about whether or not they will accept me!

No but I looked at the msar book and looked at adv debt Jeff had the least and they have on campus housing, until I get to know the town, plus the location.

yeah, i have gotten in to a couple schools- UIC and Rosalind Franklin in Chicago. But I really liked Drexel and would love to go there!
 
hey everyone, i'm a first year at drexel and i just wanted to tell all of you to hang in there...we received A LOT of apps this year and we're just trying to maintain the class size. and being on the waitlist means nothing at this point. so hang in there and let me know if you have any q's about drexel

My status currently says..

"Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University."

How long after your interview did you guys get this message? And how long did it take to get a final decision after this status change?

I interviewed on jan 22. I still have please wait 6-8 weeks for decision. Has anyone heard who interviewed around that time?

I interviewed on the same day and still haven't heard a thing

and they said the same thing, 6-8 wks...

i interviewed on 1/10 and was accepted 2/26

same here... and now its been at "Your file is under review by the committee" since last wednesday so i'm hoping they make a decision this thursday...
interviewed 1-16...so its right about that 6-8 week mark right now...c'mon drexxxxxxelllll u can dooooo ittt!
 
Booooo...waitlisted.

Interviewed 11/16, notified 3/3.

Even though I got into my #1 and will be matriculating there, the waitlist is still a blow to the ego.

"Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University. "

yea...the typo is still there :laugh:

...and the waiting continues...

11/16 ??? How does it take that long to hear back if they keep saying 6-8 weeks? I interviewed 1/14 and they said 6-8.

I interviewed on the same day as you. Did your status just change today? Mine still says that my file is being reviewed by a committee member and then will go to the admissions committee.

Yup, this morning it still said "committee member" and this afternoon it changed, so hopefully the same will happen for you...but I still think it's going to be a while before they make a decision, but I'll update as soon as anything changes.🙂

Terrible...I interviewed with you on the same day and I still haven't been notified of anything. I've called, emailed, you name it. At least you know where you stand now.

LOL, yes, I remember that shortly after I got my acceptance to Drexel Med last year, I got a random letter from the School of Performing Arts inviting me to audition for their plays and such. I think they offer a partial scholarship. Unfortunately, not to sound overly pessimistic, you probably won't have time to follow up on that once you start medical school, even if you are interested in the performing arts.
 
I interviewed about 10 days ago. My status page still says I have an interview scheduled and if I have attended the interview it will be about 6 to 8 weeks before any answer. I gather that isn't the case but can someone tell me if I am looking in the right place and what will change next and when should something change. Am I in the right place??? 😕😕
