My status on Drexel's page: A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address.

Anyone heard back yet? Have any news? Or accepted --- if so, when did you get your letter?

Wow. Now I'm really intrigued. Interviewed on the 3rd day of interviews, but they interview almost everyday. My status has been "final decision" since this Monday ... maybe I will be the first drex acceptance/waitlist/reject of the regular season?! Gahhhhh snail mail ...

That's interesting. I interviewed on 10/1 as well but my status changed from what you have to, "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel..."

They started interviewing on 9/24. I am surprised that there's such a discrepancy in terms of statuses of people who interviewed in the first two weeks. Oh well, I'm gonna call it a night, no use in speculating. Hopefully tomorrow will be more promising.

In the application summary section of the status page, does it give you information about your major and concentration (ie "Medicine, Integrated Curriculum" for major department and "Intdept. Foundations of Med." for major concentration)? I definitely didn't see this stuff here when I checked my status the last time, but this was also after my interview so just wanted to see what it says for everyone else.

PS, I used to be a legitimate human being but this whole process is beating it out of me

yeah that week long campout was "interesting". if it helps any its a big letter size yellowish envelope, i have never loved my mailbox more than that day when i saw it

Sweeeet. I received a much unexpected acceptance to Jefferson on Wed., so the pressure's off. But still very much interested in what Drexel has to say. Best of luck to you, I will post as soon as I get the letter, whether thick or thin envelope.

10/19 received Drexel acceptance letter, dated 10/15. For all of you that had your status change to "final decision" this week, I'd bet you guys are so in. Gluck to all.

thanks drogba, i feel fortunate to have choices so early on. usually don't like to advertise stats (hence no mdapplicants) but i guess i can give an outline of credentials.

GPA: 3.9+ (not from an elite or highly ranked school)
MCAT: 11s and 12s per section
Extracurrics: nothing extraordinary, research no pubs, hosp volunteering, shadowing, community service, the like
Also had strong personal statement/good interview

well it's friday night and i have acceptances, so it's time to hit the town. i would advise everyone else to do the same, acceptances or not. who knows what next week will hold. again best of luck to all.

I second that motion about hittin' the town regardless of decisions, go out and have some fun people! The apps. are in and all you can do at this point is know you've done your best, roll the dice and go with the flow!

hey guys i actually called drexel today (wednesday) and they said that some letters just went out today even though they updated our pages last week. so keep waiting, hopefully it will come for all of us at the end of the week 😉

When did you interview? I interviewed Oct 15, and they made a decision in about a week.I don't know if that is good or not.

I felt pretty good about it and was confident I had gotten in. My student interviewer ended up going to high school with me! We never knew each other during school, but hit it off from then on and had mutual friends in common. The faculty interview went great as well. So I was just pretty upset!

Hmm....well if I've learned anything on SDN, it's that it's very difficult to judge whether or not you'll get accepted based on how you feel you did on your interview. It seems that all too frequently people think their interview went terrific, and they get waitlisted/rejected, while people who "bombed" the interview get accepted right away.


Such a bizarre process . . .

I never had my status changed to that (It only said "your interview has been scheduled, please allow 6-8 weeks for a decision), but there is no longer a link to check my status when I go to the applicants home page...weird
