When they told me they mailed it on Friday, I got it on a Wednesday. It seemed like it was shipped a few days later than they had said.

OK, so i just got back from DC, beautiful city, i liked GW, and i think my interview went well

anyway, back to drexel:

i have not received anything in the past two days, i called home multiple times just to find out if i got mail, with my parents always saying, you got mail, but not the kind you're looking for

also: as to the title of the thread

we can't change, or at least i can't....i can't explain either, that goes against all sorts of regulations

i think there's gonna be an English Patient III soon....oh yea, mail does arrive on saturday...guess i'll be posting tomorrow 🙂

i got my letter....my stupid small letter

well good now that's 2 waitlists and 2 holds

i guess i better start preparing my written response, and just when i thought i'd have a great Christmas, nope, now i'm back to being sad

my interview could not have been better...it's seriously not possible, that was the best interview i could have done, and probably the best interview anyone could have done...what am i doing wrong?

my parents were even really happy for me, not having opened the letter, and now knowing that drexel sends a big letter....i took it and threw it on the ground and then opened it a minute later

i'm pretty sure my parents feel bad/sad about all this just as much as i do

f*ck CP, sorry to hear about the waitlist. just rest assured that drexel sees massive amounts of waitlist movement compared to other schools. it ain't over til its over. just focus on what's next. as for interview advice i can't give you any cuz i haven't gone to any yet.

Im so sorry CP! That totally sucks!!! It's not fair that you have to wait so long for a stupid waitlist....:-( But there is still hope. There were people rejected post-interview, so they must have liked you. But I know, these words dont help. sigh.

I hear you about the interview, though. I think my best interview this entire season was at Penn State, and I got waitlisted there too. This process is just sh*tty. Sorry man. You'll for sure get in somewhere off a waitlist if not straight.

I'm not sure, I just know that it moves because so many people apply to Drexel but consider it a "backup". I'll ask my husband to find out more about the waitlist if he can, and I'll get back to you!

definitely run a search for last year's drexel threads. i believe there was a pretty active discussion about the waitlist. sorry to hear about the wl, but i'm sure you'll end up getting in somewhere. best of luck.

i did a quick search and found the following:

Well guys, I called the admissions office a week ago, and this is what I got:

1. Waitlist movement doesnt begin until July. Acceptances will be sent via snail mail.

2. Usually only about 30 people will be pulled off from the waitlist based on previous years data ( is this bs or what ? )

3. The waitlist IS RANKED, but that information cannot be disclosed to students ( another BS to me )

I hope you find diff. info Tigress, but looking through the rest of that thread it seemed like this was basically correct....except i think it was changed to June, not July.....a few extra weeks too look for a last minute apartment/house

oh, and if this is correct tigress, could you ask your husband if he knows if the ranking is locked? this way i will know if updating/new LoRs will help or not.....i am assuming it can't be locked unless it is done by the order that apps are received, which would be unfair to qualified candidates

well nothing again today. I called them and the lady told me that my letter may not even have gone out yet!!! So she said to wait another 5-10 days... uh, yeah.

i'm so depressed. i've been waitlisted at 2 schools so far and now i'm still waiting for DREXEL and they haven't reviewed my application yet. it doesn't look good. my interview in october was blah. there was no chemistry at all. i don't think either my interviewer or my student interviewer cared for me too much. i just want in! i don't even know what to do anymore. i've spent the last few years trying to fix my crappy gpa (a few bad marks) and now i don't know what else i can do to make it better. i'm afraid that even if i reapplied i still wouldn't get in. and if i retook the mcat i wouldn't do better since my score was higher than my practice exams. i don't know how to proceed from here. and it's hard to find a job that can accept the fact that you're applying for the next academic year. this process sucks sucks sucks.
