Drexel status

The only way I could find to check anything was by logging in, but it only shows whether you've uploaded a picture, paid, and filled out the secondary. I can't figure out how to check if I'm complete, either.
 
On the right hand side of the status stuff, there is an email address that you can use to ask for your status. I believe it's [email protected] or something like that.

I know they are having problems downloading virtual evals, FYI.
 
If you go to last year's links in the status check thread, you can view the complete app status. My app is complete there

Once they've inputted your application (or however they do it), there should be a new status link for you to check your application status. Mine says complete.

Go to the above website and put in your id and password. You will come to a page that has pending applications. You click on the pending application (not the new application) and you will get a summary. There is even a link there for you if the committee has made a decision.

Hmmm. I went to that page, and it lists all of the components as received, with the last part (my LORs) received on 8/16. But under the status column it doesn't say anything. Yours actually says "complete?"

EDIT: Nevermind. I see where it says complete - it's higher up on the page. Thanks for the info!
 
i just tried the link thingy and mine says complete

HAHA so i just checked where it says "view your decision" or whatever and ive been invited for an interview!! no email yet and it says its not official but YAYYY. i almost feel like i shouldnt be posting this in case its a mistake and im jinxing it................im not a crazy premed? :laugh:

Congrats! When is the date of the last component of your app that it says was received?

it says my letters and supplemental were received on 8/17. Good luck to you phoenix1, I hope you get the email soon 🙂

Oh one more thing Phoenix...my brother graduated from Drexel Med like 3 years ago...I think that might have expedited things a little with my app...?

When were your letters posted/sent in? Did you use virtual evals or interfolio or neither?

No worries. I'm not going to stress about it. A Drexel interview would be nice, but I've decided I'm only allowed to freak out or stress about my local Chicago schools. I may end up going elsewhere, but for sanity's sake I need to just view any OOS interviews as gravy no matter how much I'm interested.
 
i sent my letters to drexel by interfolio on 08/09 and they still havent processed them

this happen to anyone else?

sent them on 7/27 and they still havent downloaded them from interfolio. i just called. and i saw on my status page that they got my mcat scores in october of 2004. i took the mcat again in may 2007. 2004 scores aren't even any good anymore right? but the guy i spoke to was very nice. he said just give it a few days.

yes, mine were sent by virtual evals 8/10 and haven't been processed either. of course they also haven't been processed at jefferson, harvard, mt sinai, GW, Morehouse, downstate, tulane, etc either...8 schools have acknowledged them so far.
 
i logged in and saw that they had received everything of mine some time last week. i checked my status and clicked the "view decision" button... on the next page, the popup page, it says

Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision.

which i am assuming is some sort of pre-interview hold.
 
I'm still waiting for Drexel to download my LOR's, too. Complete about a week ago.
 
Complete in that I sent everything in. Sorry.
 
I submitted my secondary app/application fee a week ago...but in the status box is blank and the application is "incomplete"....kinda odd because my LOR and Mcat scores have already been received....oh well i guess i will wait a few days before i call them up to clarify my status...
 
My status is something like "No decision has yet been made." Does that mean that I have been placed in the hold pile? Does anyone have any experience with drexel's admissions and can tell me what that means.

it means no decision has been made. they're still reviewing your stuff.
 
It doesn't mean hold; it just means they haven't finished reviewing you to make a decision. I have the same message and I'm not even complete yet. Hope this helps. 🙂
 
im not sure where you guys are seeing your status!

when i go to my status page, i see:
Application
Status:

You will be asked to enter your Banner ID and PIN again.

then there's nothing i can click on...

Once they're done doing whatever they do, there will be a "View Status" link underneath the application fee box. It sends you here if you don't see it or have it. Once you're there, login and click the "Fall Semester 08-09" link and that'll take you to all your info. There will then be another link that says "To View Your Decision Click Here."

i dont think i mentioned when i called i asked about my letters and the guy said that they are probably there and they just havent uploaded them from interfolio. i said so you havent started uploading letters from interfolio yet? and he said no we have... just not yours. i felt like mine was discarded like a piece of trash while they uploaded the rest. so they were sent from interfolio on JULY 31. still not uploaded according to status page. i sent an email today too. hopefully someone will let me know what is up and if i need to send them again or something.

yeah i sent mine on aug 9th when i got the secondary yet they still havent been uploaded... i havent called or anything though..if your email or phone call works and they upload it let me know so i can do the same. thanks.

When i called on thursday they told me that because of the problems with virtual evals they haven't been able to download any at all for a while, and that they didn't know when they'd be able to again. Not looking good for us...
 
the guys at drexel must be in cahootz with the guys at albany.

i know!!! it's driving me crazy. I moved all the way to philadelphia, could easily get to an interview so close to home, and drexel and jeff can't dl VirtualEvals. As i get further and further down in the pile, my app looks worse and worse. The guy on the phone said "it is still very early in the season and this will have absolutely no effect on your evaluation". oooooookay sure.
 
i sent mine 8/7 through interfolio. no luck for me either even after emailing. same goes for jefferson, albany, vcu......yawn.
 
i sent jefferson lor on august 16th, and drexel lor on august 20th through interfolio. drexel still hasnt recieved it, but jefferson shows that it got it, when i checked today (first time i checked in the past 4-5 days).
 
i emailed them inquiring about my application status because for some reason i couldn't access it online. they emailed back within a few days to say that i'm complete.
 
I emailed Drexel about my letters (sent via Interfolio) and the answer I got was...when they get downloaded you'll be complete. No, REALLY?! LOL :laugh:
 
a big envelop from drexel came in my mailbox today. I was excited hoping it's an interview invite. I tore it open, and frick, it's just a pamphlet/brochure about their MPH program. What is this suppose to mean? Does this mean that I'm rejected from the MD program so they are just advertising for their MPH program?

In case you already didn't know, drexel was extremely disorganized last year and often times you would find out that you had an interview via the website status check prior to them emailing you (or emailing you at all) Also, I know in my case I interviewed in February and they didn't make a decision to waitlist me until after the deadline to decide on a medical school. Personally, I had a really bad experience playing the waiting game with them and not getting any answers. Good luck guys.


Oh and that "View your decision here" link....yeah it never shows up as anything. Not even after they make a decision
 
I submitted my interfolio letters electronically and it's STILL not updated. Some people already got invites! I give up, I'm just gonna mail them. 😡
