Hi,

I am very anxious because I've been fortunate to be accepted to dental school, Fall 2018.

I dropped a microbiology lab that was not required before even starting school, but it was there in the ADEA AADSAS transcript for the fall. I also dropped Biochemistry I with a W, it was the chemistry base Biochemistry and to be honest, I did not understand a thing of what the professor was talking about. It was very in depth chemistry, just chemistry. I am a post-bac student, so I make my schedule on my own with little guidance. Everyone in my school hates that CHEM class.

I emailed the schools after I interviewed, and I let them know about the W, and that I was planning on making it up with a different class during the Spring. That class in the spring was the original class that I wanted to take, but it conflicted with Physics I this fall.

They simply said "well add this information to your file." I swear I thought, well forget about being accepted now. Then, I still received an conditional offer of acceptance, with the condition that "you pass all your classes with C or better."

I am so scared. I emailed them again this morning specifically asking, again about this, because i honestly cannot sleep, and I cannot even eat, I have a final coming up and I cannot concentrate.

well technically a W does not signify having a C or less, as suggested in the conditional acceptance. The school is referring to the classes u r actually enrolled in, and since u dropped it, it shouldnt have an effect on the the acceptance (especially since u said its no a pre-requ.).
u should be fine MisterDMD23

That's what I was thinking. I might be over thinking this. I emailed them this morning because I still need their "permission" to change my spring schedule, I think it won't be a big deal. I was going to take physics 2, and they don't requiere it. I am going to take Biochemistry but with the biology department, rather than with the Chemistry department.

I am so scared, but if I don't hear back soon I will call hehehe. They are pretty quick at replying sometimes.

I don't see the problem... If you already informed them after you interview and before your acceptance, and they still accepted you, they already acknowledged that they are accepting you with the W.

I think they could, however I informed the committee before being accepted of these changes.
Unless these classes held any weight in your acceptance, I don't think it's a big deal. An added bonus, you informed them of this before being accepted so it was hopefully taken into account. I think as long as you complete your pre-reqs and obtain the major you said you would get on your app, you're fine. Definitely call tho.

All good, the school approved of the changes!! Thank god!!! Thank everyone.
