Dropping an elective, W (withdrawal) on my record.

Does it look bad on residency application/my record to have a W for an elective? I want to drop a year-long elective that I'm, but I won't if looks really bad to drop it.

I had two on my undergrad transcript, but somehow made it into a top 25 school and Derm residency.

People understand things happen. As long as you don't have tons, it's all good.

No, it doesn't look bad, esp. if it's an elective (I'm assuming you're talking about med school here, but even undergrad too).
