I've been in a pre-health club for a while and I had most active for two semesters even though I know it doesn't amount to much (I just enjoyed the company). Would med schools care if I'm not active in it anymore? I don't really plan to put it on my application because I never got a leadership position in it but used its resources to get shadowing and other experiences which I was able to write down.

I'm mostly asking because they're asking for a fee for the semester/year but I'd rather spend it on a burger (no joke) than put it into an organization that doesn't do much except give me more exposure to things on campus. What would you guys do?

Did you tell them you were active? If no then they won't care and won't know. If yes, then they won't care.

If you got nothing out of it, then don't put it on. Unless it was documented somewhere on the web or Facebook that you were a part of the club, your membership never technically existed. Plus you wouldn't want to come off at an interview like you're only doing things to impress ADCOMs, right?

I would drop it if you're not getting anything out of it. You probably have better things to do, and the pre-med/health clubs don't look "good" anyway.

That's the general feeling I was getting but that let's my conscience rest easy. They have some pdfs of membership points but they only show student ids for them.
