Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I've been fortunate enough to get 2-3 mid-tier interviews even though my Step 1 was blahhhh.

My request is, can some people who have 15+ interviews at every top program in the country, can you PLEASE stop dropping places that are not in your top 10.

Some of us would REALLY like to get 1-2 more interviews at a good program, and it sucks to see the same old names filling up every interview spot while I am forced to sit here and refresh my inbox every 20 seconds and pray.

So, start dropping your interviews (especialy if they are in the Southern States) and make room for me!

I just dropped one for you. Call it an early Christmas present.

I see these posts every year and never comment but now is my time. I do not think it is wise to drop interviews, I feel you should go on as many interviews as possible to improve your chances of matching at a top institution. Wish you the best Checkmate. The interview season is still early have faith!

I'm dubious that other people dropping interviews will help you. Unless your programs of interest go unfilled during the match, then they've given the right number of interviews and ranked the right number of people.

With anesthesia relatively more competitive than it was a few years ago, I would only limit my interviews to my budget and stamina ... and if ever there's a time to borrow a couple thousand dollars and drink a Red Bull, this is it.

Disclaimer - I didn't go through the match.
