Pfizer and Wyeth have instituted the following programs to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina:

Pfizer:

No matter where you are now located, if you have lost your Pfizer medications as a result of Hurricane Katrina, you can go to the nearest Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, CVS or participating independent pharmacy and get help obtaining an emergency supply of your Pfizer medications. All you need is your identification or your social security number.

From now until September 16th, Pfizer is working with pharmacies to provide emergency supplies of Pfizer medicines. Patients without prescription drug coverage will get their Pfizer medicines for free.

We urge any hurricane victims to contact or visit a nearby pharmacy right away to get help during these difficult days.

For more information on the Pfizer relief program, please visit the nearest Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, or CVS. Independent community pharmacies may also be participating.

Wyeth:

As a result of the devastating consequences of Hurricane Katrina, many patients in affected areas have been left without access to necessary medications. To assist those affected, Wyeth (NYSE:WYE) announced today two new initiatives to help patients obtain their prescription medicines.

For the next 30 days, Wyeth will be partnering with licensed pharmacies to provide Wyeth products to affected patients allowing time for these patients to regain access to their insurance or social programs. Wyeth will provide up to a free 30-day replacement supply of Wyeth products through licensed and authorized pharmacies providing they meet certain conditions. Pharmacies can begin filling prescriptions immediately. However, all pharmacies that meet the criteria must enroll with Wyeth Customer Service by September 9, 2005.

Additionally, beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2005, Wyeth will implement emergency response to patients in affected areas who are enrolled in our Patient Assistance Program. For the next 60 days, Wyeth will upon individual request, immediately repeat the shipment of any current prescriptions, regardless of the time interval since the last filling. Shipment must still be directed to a licensed MD or pharmacist. Also, until October 31, 2005, for patients in the affected areas, the Company will wave some of the requirements normally necessary for enrollment.

Starting September 6, 2005, pharmacies wishing to enroll in emergency dispensing and patients participating in the Wyeth Patient Assistance Program can call Wyeth Customer Service at 1-800-666-7248, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00p.m. EST.
