Dual-Enrollment courses on AMCAS

At my high school, we had the option of taking dual enrollment classes at the local university rather than a class at the high school. I ended taking multivariable and diff Eq, but then I retook them when I got to college (didn't go to local U). Will those college grades from dual enrollment show up on my amcas?

yes. you must indicate all grades you have on your record. In addition to the AMCAS self-reported grades/courses, you must also send in an official transcript. It takes a few weeks after you formally submit your application to AMCAS in order for you to be 'verified' because they go through and make sure that you actually reported everything you took. For example, I took general bio at the community college when I was in high school, had to report that in my AMCAS, and also had to report that I took it when I got to college. It doesn't count against you and they probably won't ask about it because lots of people do that.

If you took college courses during your senior year of high school, then yes, they will be reflected in your BCMP and your overall GPA.

how does retaking a course come into play here? I'm just finding some way not to get screwed because I slacked off a little during second semester, senior year of high school. for the record, i never took credit for any of the dual enrollment classes.

Basically, you cannot hide from the AMCAS. The AMCAS is where everything comes into play and you have to be honest about everything. Any and every grade you've ever gotten in college, including failing grades, withdraws, and incompletes gets recorded on AMCAS. There isn't any kind of 'hiding' that can be done, because if you do, when they get the official transcript, they will 'fix' things for you so that it is recorded anyway. There is an option to indicate that something is repeated and there is a 'high school' GPA that consists of the college courses you may have taken in high school. Overall, however, there is no escaping any course you have ever taken.
