Can anybody suggest where I can read more about this? Particularly the clinical history and natural progression of disease.
 
I would suggest the definitive avian virus textbook: "Avian Viruses: Function & Control" by Ritchie and Carter, 1995. ISBN: 0963699636

This book lacks the necessary detail that I seek. I'm in contact with a leading expert on the disease now. Thanks for your help.
