DUI I messed up bad

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If the DIU were to be dropped, there would be no need to report it to schools. If you are accepted, and you do get charged, it will show up on your background check.

Hmm... well, like the above poster said if it ends up getting dropped, no need to mention it. If it doesn't get dropped and you're officially charged with it, meaning there's nothing you can do now to get it off of your record, you HAVE to be honest and upfront about it. It'll look a million times worse if you try to cover it up and all dental schools I know of conduct a background check before you're officially accepted.

Iirc the AADSAS application asks about arrests not being charged/convicted. If they ask about arrests report it and if charged are dropped say that too.

AADSAS only asks for crimes that you are convicted of. If it's dropped, you weren't considered convicted of said crime I believe.

why were you driving with alcohol in your system in the first place? This is the most important time in your life and you're drinking? Hopefully no one was hurt. People don't realize what they have until something bad happens then they get worried and then they post about their chances on student doctor network.
