Duke MSTP app - research experience

On the Duke app, it has several short questions one of which is about research experience. The thing is, since I'm applying to the MSTP I have about 2 page of description but they will only allow about a paragraph. Does anyone know if the short answer is specifically for the medschool people? How do I cram 3 years of in-depth research endeavors into 500 characters? I looked for past postings but I didn't find anything and apologize for the redundancy if there is. Any advice would be appreciated.

use that paragraph to practice giving a succinct and engaging answer to what research you have done in the past. that essay is read by the med school people, if at all, since your application is ported to the md/phd people who have your longer essay.
