Hello all,

I'm curious about the dual DVM/MBA degree programs that a lot of schools (Penn, OSU, CSU, ISU, etc.) seem to be offering. Is anyone here enrolled in such a program, or have you heard anything about it?

Thanks!

Whoa! Some vet schools have combo DVM/business degrees? That's awesome! Good for them! This is tremendously important to our industry and folks should definitely take advantage of it.

A&M has one. As far as I know you apply for it if you get admitted to the DVM program and then do the actual program with the May's business school (I think they have something set up with the vet school).

Only catch is you do it between your 2nd and 3rd year so you get thrown off a year (all your classmates advance without you). But I have heard that you can do it after your fourth year, just no one wants to at that point.

CSU also has one, and from what I understand is you apply for it on your supplemental application and it is tremendously competitive. But with that one you do it before your first year of vet school so nothing gets shifted.

Those are the only two I know anything about.

A former co-worker of mine did/is finishing the CSU program, but I lost touch with her and unfortunately don't have any info. 🙁 She was incredibly excited about it, though, and this was several years ago--so I suppose it's fairly well-established.

Sorry, this is no help at all. 🙂
