Grenada, a hardworking medicine student, is having some hard time. He is very very skinny, BMI less than 17. He is tired all the time and sleeps for more than 8 hrs, but as soon as he wakes up, he goes back to sleep😴. Apparently, he have done tests, blood tests, and nothing was abnormal (ie, not anemic, hypothyroid-itic etc).

Whats your diagnoosis? And what advice could you give him as a medical student? (Ie have you ever felt this way, how did you overcome it?)

Eat something.

Probably a psyche condition (anxiety, depression, something), but you can't really tell over the internet. Make an appointment with a psychologist and another with a PCP, ask both of them what's wrong.

Dont so much time on SDN . They depress me too sometimes.

Haha, that describes me quite a bit. My BMI is around 16ish and I usually sleep 8+ hours a day(only possible by skipping class and on weekends 🙂)...but I usually do not feel the need to nap after sleeping for that long, so I dunno.

See your family physician for medical advice and now closing this thread.
