Hey everyone! So last week I got a call saying I was accepted to D'youville for fall 2013! It's my first acceptance so I'm definitely excited! The problem is, besides what's mentioned on the website, I don't know much about their program. Is there anybody on here that goes to DC or knows more about their program? Is it a good program, pros and cons, how many students, and faculty?? I only know of one con: it's in buffalo! Haha I'm not much of a snow person but it won't be too much of an issue if i did end up going there lol it seems like a good program from their website but if anybody has more info then please do share! 🙂

bump...only because from my understanding, OT school is generally around 2-2 1/2 years but D'Youville is 3 full years. Are there any other OT schools that are 3 years?

from their website, what do you think about this school? I seriously having been looking all over for reviews for their OT program, but I couldn't find anything. Fear of the unknown, basically 😱

Hey there!

I am currently in the Masters program at D'Youville. I was in your shoes about a year ago so I definitely know what you are going through! The program here is amazing. It is a well known and respected school in the Buffalo area. Our cohort started at 48 in the Fall semester and we are now down to about 41. The faculty is extremely professional and personable. The class sizes range from about 12 for labs and go up to about 41 for our entire cohort. Do you have any specific questions that I might be able to help you out with? I will try to get on here every other day or so in order to help you out with the transition over to Buffalo!

Hi, I did not apply to D'Youville but reading that your cohort dropped to 41 from starting 48 kind of scared me. I have read other programs have similar stats but is there any reason for this dropping rate? Is the program difficult enough for people to drop out?

Hey! I'm thinking about applying to DC this fall. If you don't mind my asking, what were your stats? And congratulations 🙂
