I didn't see a thread for D'youville yet so I decided to start one! I noticed they extended the application deadline to January 11th. Anyone else applying?

I was actually accepted on Thursday and I’m currently considering putting down a deposit!

Has anyone else received an acceptance email or letter?

Awesome! Congrats 🙂 I initially was planning to apply, but then saw their deadline was 11/30 and I wasn't completely ready yet. Then I checked again on OTCAS and it seems they are accepting apps until January 11th so I sent my app in today! Fingers crossed I hear back soon. I heard they don't interview!

From what I understand, they don't interview at all! They actually aren't the only university I've looked into that doesn't interview. University of Washington in Washington State doesn't either and I'm pretty sure I've seen others on this forum talk about not having to interview.

I also know from the information session that they had fewer applicants than normal (likely due to COVID), so you'll have a better shot this year than other years! Good luck 🙂

I got an email first on Thursday, December 17th, then I got a packet in the mail with more information about a week later!

Hi everyone! I am currently an MS3 student at D'Youville and will be graduating in May. Just wanted to say hello and let you know I am here if anyone has any questions about the program. Congrats to those accepted so far and good luck to those waiting! 🙂

Hi, it's nice to meet you! I've accepted my spot at D'Youville for Fall 2021.

I'll be moving from Oregon with my boyfriend and neither of us has visited the east coast. Are there any specific areas of Buffalo or rental companies that you would suggest when we start looking for apartments?
 
Did someone make a FB group yet? If not I can just start one! 🙂

Congrats, that is SO exciting! I am a Buffalo native so I might be a little biased but you guys will love it here. It's a fun little city 🙂

The area directly around DYC can be hit or miss. I would suggest looking for a place either in Allentown, Elmwood Village, or North Buffalo. These are all safe neighborhoods within a 5-15 minute drive of campus. As per rental companies, I have used both Ellicott Development and Buffalo Management Group when looking for apartments in Buffalo and have had good experiences with both!

I'm not personally looking for a roommate, but if I remember correctly, they are planning to make a Facebook group for our class. That would probably be a better resource for finding roommates, since I haven't seen a lot of admitted students on here!

Maybe we should bug them about it. 🙂
