What's worse is medical students participating in this illegal act should not be allowed to continue into medical school. If you want an e-book, many companies provide e-book option like student consult to have an electric copy OF SOMETHING YOU PAID FOR.

If you see your medical school colleagues with illegal books. Report them.

While I agree stealing something is never the right way to gather resources, passing down an electronic resource like an ebook seems kind of like giving someone a real book to use or borrow. Only one person paid for it but more than one person gets to use it :O

Now, putting it up on a torrent site for mass sharing, that is a different level

When I see posts like this, I get annoyed. Then I remember that I keep a crowbar in my backseat, and that makes me happy again.

Just out of curiosity, since there's no hope for us degenerates that use the free resources that find their way to our computers, what are your thoughts on people like Josef Mengele.
