I finally submitted my application after spending about a three weeks on my Personal Statement (after taking my DAT). If I can offer suggestions for people that are submitting this/next year here are a few that come to mind:

1.) Send your transcripts as soon as possible. Seems obvious, yet it really takes two to three weeks for them to recieve your transcripts from any college you are sending them from. I sent my transcript from a community college about 10 days ago and they still haven't recieved it yet. 😕
Also most colleges will not allow you to pay extra to send them first-class or overnight, etc.

2.) Try to take your DAT early or the year prior to appling. I took my DAT 06/28/11 and they still have not been recieved by the AADSAS. In todays fast-paced society I wonder why it takes so long... Anyways, if you take your DAT before the Application process opens it would definitely expedite the process.

3.) Do not take summer school the year you are applying. I decided to take two business summer school classes (which are easier than sciences, but consume so much time) and am regretting it. I applied to 18 schools and anout 7 of them require the secondary application right off the bat. I was able to do one yesterday, but due to exams, papers, and work it's going to be hard to complete the other secondaries in a timely manner.

Just my two cents and good luck to everyone else in this application process. I hope that my DAT and transcripts get recieved soon, so I can wake the 4-6 week processing time lol. And I thought I was applying early in the process 🙄

wooo i e submitted on 7/7, i had everything ready in june, but my personal statement delayed everything too. they received my transcripts and LORs in mid june. sigh.. yeah i thought i was early too. and i just found out that AADSAS doesnt have my DAT score yet bc i didnt select any school when i registered for the test. Hopefully they get the score before they complete calculating the gpa. good luck with your classes and interviews :xf:

I turned mine in on the 7th and applied to about 17 schools. but some weren't on the DAT list when I took my DAT... I'm guessing now I have to pay 25 bucks per school for schools I didn't send my scores to. good luck to everyone.

Hey I don't think you have to pay the extra $25 for each school. As long as you selected a school when you registered for DAT, you should be fine. Just make sure you select all the schools you want to apply to in AADSAS. I read a thread a few weeks back clarifying this, but can't find it. If I do, I shall post it up.
