Where can I find ear plugs that block out over 30 decibels?

(I can still hear almost everything through 30 decibel ear plugs. I can even carry on a conversation with them in. Who know how, I just can.)

And are suitable for smaller ear canals?

(I'm not a small person. My ear canals are small somehow and larger ear plugs are uncomfortable and don't stay in very well.)

I've looked around: CVS, Shaws, Amazon... but haven't found anything.

Lol Shaws! Somebody must be from New England.

30 decibel ear plugs are standard. I worked in an industrial mill for a year and those are what we use around big machinery, and yes most people can still have a conversation with them.

^^ They don't make them higher than 30db and this explains why.

If you are looking for total and complete silence you'll need the big over-the-ear headsets

^^like those...they are over 105db

30db should really be able to do the job though...unless you're using a chainsaw or something

Nice info and interesting read. What I found most fascinating though was that the author's name in that first article was 'Brad Witt' ... If the W was changed to a P, well ...that'd be really interesting 🙂 Sigh, I'm 2 easily entertained.
