I am looking at MSAR data and see that the earliest acceptances are sent in the middle of October.

However, I have heard that submitting an application in August is late.

How can submitting an application in August be considered late if the earliest acceptances aren't sent out until October?

Just curious because I am planning to take the mcat on July 2nd and won't get the score back until around August 5th.

Thank you!

You can submit your application in mid summer. Schools are not allowed to accept you until October.

Edit: Receiving your MCAT score in August would indeed be late enough to negatively affect your application.

Sorry for my late response -- and thank you for your reply.

I am just wondering if you could explain this. I think there is a disconnect. If schools don't accept people until october, why does it matter whether or not I submit in august?

Thank you again!
