Last cycle I received 5 II’s and am currently sitting on 4 WL’s after applying exceptionally late, submitting my finishing most of my secondaries in late October/early September, so applying early this cycle is one of the biggest ways I feel like I can improve my application considering I received the interviews I did. However, aside from that my main growth has been within extracurriculars I was already a part of, rather than starting something new. Is a good way to highlight new growth and roles just simply including something like “and recently I have started…”? Will ADCOMS spot this difference in essays? I plan to rewrite a decent chunk of them in general, but just wondering if this will display enough growth to bolster my reapplication and show that I have been continuously working towards this upcoming cycle. Additionally, will applying early make as much of a difference as I think it will considering my last cycle’s results?

Thanks in advance!

Please fill out the Spring 2025 Applicant Experience Survey. Good luck with one of those waitlists becoming an offer.

Why did you wait until October? You have no other significant improvements? Anything you have learned about yourself or your purpose through that activity?

Sure, applying early will help you. Your application looks like it was solid enough that you could have gotten onto more waitlists (I'm joking with you). Work on clarifying your purpose and mission fit, and keep your interviewing skills sharp. Hopefully this will be a moot exercise.
