Earliest Interviews

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Which schools usually offer interviews the earliest and how early?

University of Michigan starts really early, but not necessarily first or anywhere near it. Tons of schools start in August/September too.

I know that U. Pitt has already started offering interviews.

I think Michigan probably takes the cake. They're pretty gung ho on rolling admissions.

I loved it when the admissions lady got angry because someone withdrew last minute from their interview and she vented on twitter. You could feel the entitlement of the adcom there; it was almost palpable.

"SDN: You can guess, imply, wonder, speculate about your question or just call us for the info--really it's ok! (SDN is very often wrong!)"

👍👍

I mean, it's hard to say she's incorrect on this one..

Yeah, I mean she has a point. SDN usually has some valuable info, but then again there's some STUPID stuff that goes down here.

Early September for MD/PhD (at least Hopkins and UF), but I think a few medical schools start interviewing in August...

Where was this tweet?

I invented a way to make duplicate posts minutes after the first one had already posted. Awesome.

Give it a month and plenty of schools will be sending out invites. It's not a race.
