Hello,
I have a bit of a decision to make so I thought I'd throw it our here and see what people had to say.

I plan to apply for the 2011 cycle. There are some problems associated with this though.
1. I do not have microbiology, Physics I and II, or orgo lab completed (prereqs).
2. I have not taken the DAT and will need time to study for it.

I was originally going to take microbiology and orgo lab in the spring, submit my app (July 7th-ish), then study for the DAT until mid august when I would take it.

The problem is that this is a late submission of both my DAT and app. I am wondering if I would not be better off reducing my spring load (say just orgo lab) and taking the DAT late July. Alternatively I could move spring classes to the summer and apply in June and Take the DAT in July. This would however mean that I have a large no. of prereqs incomplete (4 in total).
Any input that I can consider would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!😀

Take the DAT in the summer.

Physics is not on the DAT, and you had general BIO, and O-Chem lecture right?
I think that you can still apply with prereq's hanging, as long as you complete them before the end of your senior year.

You can also turn in your AADSAS app early and just send your DAT scores to the schools. I would start writing your personal statement now, and getting your letters of rec lined up NOW.

Don't take your DAT until your ready. I delayed my dat date until Aug 6th, and I still got two acceptances, so it is doable. It will be hard because you will be filling out seconds while you are studying, and it is important not to shirk the secondaries because you are busy. Also be aware that there are a few schools who want you to turn in stuff as soon as you turn in your AADSAS so don't neglect them ( I almost did).
Do whatever you feel you have to do to get the best score possible.
